The Perfect Skin Brush

Skin is the largest organ, and the practice of dry brushing  can stimulate the lymphatic system, improve circulation, aid  exfoliation, and help your skin tone and texture become more even and glowing. Start from the feet and work up toward the  heart—long strokes over the long bones, and circular motions  around the joints (take care not to be too rough on the  abdomen or breasts).

After trying more than a dozen brushes, we found many to be too soft.  Others were made from unsustainable ocean sources, or used cruel animal practices to obtain bristles. We created an extra firm brush that was everything we were looking for in a lymphatic skin massager, and matched our values.

The Perfect Skin Brush features:

  • Embossed Beechwood Handle
  • Vegan Bristles (made from sustainably sourced sisal)
  • Cotton Hand Wrap
  • Cotton Carrying Sack

Drybrushing is an excellent all-over bodycare practice. Light brushing on the skin helps to move lymphatic fluid, clean out debris and toxins in the body and boost immune function. It stimulates skin, removes dried and dead skin, and brings blood flow to the edges of the body.

How to Drybrush:

Using The Perfect Skin Brush, lightly brush the skin of the upper torso toward the lymph nodes in the armpits, then brush the skin of the lower torso toward the lymph nodes in the groin. Make circles around the joints, the belly and the backside.

Protocol for Full Body Skincare (try to do this at a minimum twice a week):

  • Dry Brush the Body
  • Take a 20-minute Steam or Infrared Sauna
  • Shower with a Warm Wash
  • Ice Cold Rinse
  • Self Massage from Head to Toe with Our anoint: nourishing body oil
