Discernment. Targeting Your Raw Fears. Becoming Unoffendable | Founder Letter

Dear Rosies,

As we go into the next three months of political content, I want to make a plea for all of us to refine our discernment.

One way to do this is to be aware of the data tools being amassed against you to guide your choices. If you have the time, I recommend reading this article, "How Political Campaigns Use Your Data to Target You". It might shock you to learn how data brokers collect information from browser cookies, web beacons, mobile phones, social media platforms, and more. They then deliver this profile information to advertisers, who customize their messaging to speak directly to you. They might even say the opposite to someone else! (Note: If you want to see the ads a campaign is running on Facebook, there is a transparency function that makes contradictory messages evident. However, this transparency is not as readily available in the broader world.)

This chart is from the EFF article: "A sample of some categories and inferences in a political data broker file.” This implied profile of you would accompany your name, IP address, phone number, home address, shopping behaviors, who you are related to and more.

In the face of this- KNOWING that we are being manipulated at the base of our biological and emotional stack - to fear, to blame, to divide- we have a choice.

We could use this as an opportunity to become less reactionary, more unoffendable and to stand as the embodiment of a unified and harmonious culture and country, the tone and feeling of the future you want to create, a future you want to live in.

PENDULUMS

I find the concept of “pendulums” very helpful. Vladimir Zeland, the author of the Reality Transurfing series, introduces this concept as a central idea in his work. Pendulums, he writes, are energetic entities (and often become material organizations). They are formed when multiple individuals focus their thoughts and energy on a particular idea, ideology, or movement. This collective energy gives the pendulum its power and influence, which then seeks to perpetuate itself by attracting more energy. They are designed, literally, to suck your attention and energy away from what matters most to you.

Pendulums exert control over people by resonating with their energy and drawing them into specific patterns of thought and behavior. They thrive on conflict, drama, and strong emotions, as these generate more energy- and doesn’t this sound familiar?

However, pendulums can be destructive because they often lead people away from their true desires and individual paths. They create dependencies and can manipulate individuals into actions that serve the pendulum rather than the person’s own interests.

Pendulums work by attracting attention through resonating with certain emotions or thoughts within individuals. For example, a political movement might resonate with feelings of injustice, drawing more people to support it. By engaging with a pendulum, individuals unknowingly feed it their energy, which can manifest in various ways, such as participating in debates, conflicts, or simply being preoccupied with the pendulum’s focus.

When individuals align themselves too closely with a pendulum, they can lose touch with their true selves and their unique life paths. They begin to act in ways dictated by the pendulum rather than their own intuition or desires.

To break free from a pendulum, we need to become aware of its influence and consciously choose not to engage with it. This involves detaching emotionally and mentally from the pendulum and redirecting one's focus towards personal goals and inner harmony.

As a practical approach for reclaiming personal power, and being less susceptible to being swayed by pendulums, try these things:.

  • Awareness: Recognize when a pendulum is influencing your thoughts and actions.
  • Detachment: Consciously detach from the pendulum by shifting your focus away from it.
  • Intentional Living: Reclaim your energy and direct it towards your own intentions and goals.
  • Inner Balance: Maintain inner balance and harmony to avoid being easily swayed by pendulums.

SAMPLE INTENTION

I have been working with a personal intention around this, which I will share with you:

As the world attempts to divide us, I rest in my inner heart. I live in the awareness of something greater, I am both infinite and infinitesimal. I am in right relationship to wonder. I know what I am here to do. I lay down all arms, of all kinds, inner and outer, known and unknown. I become unoffendable. Love, Serve, Remember.

To Intentionally Living,

Christine
