Living in The Beauty Way: Founder Letter

Living in The Beauty Way: Founder Letter

Dear Rosies

This weekend, a group of inspired women gathered for reset and renewal in coastal California—to move, breathe, and listen into what wanted to be born in and through us. We used guided dance and deep listening practices to tap into the intelligence of the body, into what we already know but sometimes keep hidden from ourselves. It brought great clarity where there had been confusion.

My co-organizer, the beautiful Yasmeen Turayhi of the Gateways to Awakening podcast, pointed out that astrologically we are at a great turning point—a time when Venus goes direct. Mythically, this symbolizes the Queen of Heaven rising from her descent and emerging with renewed clarity, sovereignty, and grace. It’s a time when what was hidden or uncertain moves forward again. It represents a return to what delights and nourishes us, and invites us to embody the inner queen.

So we played with embodying the Queen of Heaven, looking at ourselves and the world through the lens of love, looking from the light. It feels so spacious in the body to do this. I invite you to try it—imagine yourself as Venus, goddess of love, the Queen of Heaven.

At Rosebud, and in our homes, we hold both an inner and outer commitment to living in the beauty way, especially in the midst of chaos or ugliness in the world. In these weeks on the East Coast, we’ve been cooking gorgeous food together, caring for some sick littles, and tending the winter garden. Samantha brought graceful, arching forsythia branches inside—the golden blooms like tiny suns in the greyness.

We can each be tiny suns in the greyness. Even our intensity holds a simple beauty—the beauty of clarity of purpose.

We know who we are when we are minding, tending, creating beauty, loving life in all the diverse ways it shows up.

On that note, our 2025 curated collection of beautiful objects is here. This season, we’re offering things we love—for self and home—from people we love. I only offer what truly works for me and brings delight. This week, we’ll be introducing you to our Spring 2025 partner offers, just in time for Mother’s Day and spring gifting. Things like handstrung freshwater pearl malas, temperature-regulating traditional mulberry silk bedding, or washable silk loungewear. These offers are invitations: to slow down, to savor, to come home to yourself. Note that you can use your accumulated Rosebud points on your purchases.

Also, thank you for your responses to our note last week about the tariff increases. The replies were thoughtful, with an 8-to-2 margin in support. A few were misinformed or reactive—often from folks who hadn’t read the full message. That’s part of being in community, in business, and in the public eye. We welcome dialogue, and we remain committed to transparency and care in everything we do.

As Venus moves forward, may you feel her blessing in your own life: a soft propulsion toward clarity, beauty, and sovereignty.

You, the Queen of Heaven.

With love,
Christine
